This training focuses on important aspects such as occupational safety and health programs, risk assessment and management, hazard prevention and control, work supervision with work permits, work safety analysis, accident investigation, confined space entry, emergency response, hazard communication, and occupational safety and health management systems. The goal is to increase workers' awareness and understanding of occupational safety and health, both on land and at sea, and to help reduce the risk of accidents and injuries in the work environment.

In his speech, Abubakar said that this BST training could improve the competence of the community or participants in the safety and health field while working. He emphasized the importance and benefits of having a BST certificate. "So far, workers and crew may not have realized it, even though if we look further, there are many benefits that crews will receive from owning their BST. Because of its enormous benefits, the government even confirms the importance of having a BST certificate through maritime law," said Abubakar.
In addition, Abubakar revealed that the opportunity to work with a BST certificate is very large because the BST certificate is the main and basic requirement for work at sea and in several companies on land.
