FACILITATION OF FISHING VESSEL DOCUMENTS: EBKP AND SKKP

cfi-indonesia.id. CFI Indonesia is assisting in the issuance of traditional fishing vessel documents, including the Fishing Vessel Registration Certificate (TDKP) in the form of the Electronic Fishery Vessel Record (E-BKP), as well as the Fishery Vessel Feasibility Certification (SKKP) for regional licenses.

In 2024, 45 small-scale fishermen from the Eastern Seram Regency and 35 from Southeast Maluku were assisted in obtaining their TDKP and Business Identification Numbers (NIB).

For the Fisheries Office of Southeast Maluku, facilitating small fishermen to get their permit established is a form of empowerment which aimed at improving sailing safety and providing access to affordable fuel.

Once the fishermen have obtained the Small Vessel Permit, the Fisheries Office will issue a recommendation for purchasing affordable fuel, which can be accessed at the SPDN located in the Tual Port," said Nicodemus Ubro, M.Si, Regional Secretary of Southeast Maluku Regency.

Ship Marking

The registration of fishing vessels is the process of recording fishing vessels listed in the fishing vessel register, while ship marking is the activity of providing marks or identification on fishing vessels.

Through the Maritime and Fisheries Office (DKP) of the Maluku Province, ship marking has been carried out on small-scale fishermen’s vessels in Southeast Maluku Regency with 30 ships and in Eastern Seram Regency with 81 ships. This ship marking of small-scale fishermen’s vessels is a follow-up to the fishing vessel registration conducted earlier (2022-2023), which resulted in 115 vessel registers.

Fishery Vessel Feasibility Service Centers

CFI Indonesia has facilitated the Fishery Vessel Feasibility Certification (SKKP) Service, particularly for regionally licensed vessels operating through the Nusantara Fisheries Ports (PPN) in Ambon and Ternate. Additionally, CFI Indonesia organized a Socialization and Fisheries Vessel Feasibility Certification (SKKP) Service Center for vessel owners, captains, and crew members in Jayapura and Sorong. During the event in Sorong, the SKKP Team from PPN Ambon processed 60 applications submitted through the Sicefi application and successfully issued 45 SKKP documents to vessel owners, managers, and captains. Meanwhile, PPN Ternate handed over 30 SKKP documents to vessel owners' representatives in Jayapura.

From 2022 to 2024, CFI Indonesia has facilitated the issuance of 195 EBPKs for traditional fishermen, the marking of 111 vessels, and the SKKP issuance of 75 vessels, specifically for units with regional permits.
