INTERNSHIP STUDENTS AT THE PRODUCTION HOUSE OF CFI INDONESIA'S FOSTERED GROUP

cfi-indonesia.id.  POKLAHSAR Sid Sarmav Snack Ohoidertavun, located in Kei Kecil District, Southeast Maluku Regency, received a special visit from three cadets of the Fisheries Processing Technology Study Program at SUPM Waiheru, Ambon City. They are undergoing an internship program at the production house as part of their learning and development in the fisheries industry.

The cadets were warmly welcomed by Zulfa Hayer, Chairman of POKLAHSAR Sid Sarmav Snack Ohoidertavun, who expressed great pride in their presence. This marks the first time POKLAHSAR has hosted internship participants.

"We are very pleased and proud to welcome cadets from SUPM Waiheru. Their presence not only assists in production but also brings new perspectives to fisheries processing," said Zulfa Hayer.

The three Cadets participating in this program are: Nadya Ohorella, Putri Novita Ayu, and Siti Jubaida Soumena

According to Zulfa, their presence has provided significant benefits in various aspects of production, including product quality improvement, packaging design, and plans for conducting Proximate laboratory tests. These tests cover important parameters such as moisture, ash, protein, carbohydrate, and fat content, aiming to ensure the quality of POKLAHSAR Sid Sarmav Snack Ohoidertavun products.

One of the cadets, Nadya Ohorella, explained why they chose Southeast Maluku as their internship location.

"Apart from the beauty of the Kei Islands, we wanted to gain hands-on experience processing fresher raw materials compared to fish products in Ambon City. Sid Sarmav Snack Ohoidertavun products have a distinct flavor derived from high-quality ingredients," Nadya explained.

Their observations revealed that the raw materials used at POKLAHSAR Sid Sarmav Snack Ohoidertavun are of superior quality, giving the products a unique flavor that sets them apart from others. With the experience gained, the Cadets hope to apply the knowledge they have learned in the field of fishery product processing technology in the future.

The internship program runs for three months, from January to March 2025, as part of the CFI Indonesia site project in Southeast Maluku. Through this collaboration, POKLAHSAR is expected to continue growing and benefiting the local community, while the cadets gain valuable hands-on experience in the fisheries industry.

As an organization committed to the sustainable development of fisheries resources, CFI Indonesia continues to support initiatives that help enhance the skills and experience of young generations in this sector. Such collaborations serve as tangible steps in creating a more innovative and sustainable fisheries ecosystem in Indonesia.
